Air impact advice SNAP ON OR INGERSOLL RAND?
Im looking at either a Snap-on 1/2 inch drive impact or an Ingersoll Rand. Does anyone no which is better?
i own both. I would go with the snap on for 2 reasons. snap on has a much better life time warranty and they also hold up better. the ingersol is a fantastic gun. very powerful very high rpm. But i had to have my IR rebuilt 3 times and i don't use it as much i use My snap on. My snap on is 6 years old. haven't had an issue with it yet. Now when it comes to the 3/8 drive impacts then i would probably say go with the IR. the 3/8 Snap on vs/ 3/8 IR the IR has almost twice the power and speed. But the 1/2 drive snap-on for sure. They are both fantastic tools But i think you will be very satisfied with the Happy Snappy. 
now if you an find the old school IR thunder gun. Then hell yes no contest. But they don't make that gun anymore. you would have to find one rebuilt somewhere.
