How do i fix my slow snap down so that i can get my back handspring?
I've been going to lessons for a while now and cannot get my legs to snap down fast enough. If it weren't for that i would have my back handspring by now. Please give me some tips!
There are two parts to the snap down. One is the shoulder block (shrugging your shoulders hard to your ears as your hands contact the floor) and the other is whipping your feet over so you can get into the hollow body position for the landing. A lot of people don't block very well when they are just starting out. And consider, too, that if you are slow in your BHS or undercutting it that will affect your ability to snap down correctly so make sure that's not going on.
