Are Ryobi 18v ni-cad batteries interchangeable with 18v Lithium products?
I have the 18v Blue ryobi drill with the old ni-cad batteries. If I buy the lithium chansaw (without batteries), will it work with my ni-cad battery?

Yes, you can use lithium ion batteries in traditional Ryobi tools. You need to make sure you get a charger to charge the lithium ion batteries and your good to go. Although my experience with the Ryobi lithium ion batteries is they suck. They wont charge if it is too cold and they don't seem much better than a NiCd battery. I bought one cause they were cheap and the traditional Ryobi products are okay, and alot of bang for your buck. It lasted just over a year and the batteries are toast. I would just stick with the NiCd batteries if I were you.
Im sort of confused, Not sure why you would buy a lithium set and then use the old batteries. Im not sure if it works that way or not.
