18v rechargeable ryobi batteries that will charge but not stay problem?
I happen to have 3 ryobi 18v batteries for my cordless drill that I can charge on the charger to full power but if I leave them more than a day sitting around, they are completely dead. What is wrong with them and can I fix them.
Did you "condition " the batteries the first use? Tp condition means that when you first get them you charge them, then you use each one untill it DRAINS COMPLETELY..this conditions them to where they will take a good full charge from there on out, and gives you a longer life span on then..possibly Home Depot or where you bought it will replace them..but condition the next set..it should tell You in the users manual to do so...Ryobi manuals will also tell you on thier cordless products that it takes 4 or 5 times giving them a full charge and they then become stronger
