Even A Frugal Fashionista Can Save On Cleaning Supplies

If you are anything like the other billions of people on the planet, you know what it’s like to clean. Even more so is this a fact of life if you are the head of a household. Then, like any frugal fashionista, you not only have to clean, but you have to clean with a budget in mind. During this unfortunately economy crisis that the world’s seems to have found itself in, everyone is looking for ways to save. One way that you can save and still care for your family is by saving on daily items such as cleaning supplies. Here’s how:

1. Give feedback whenever you can. Companies want to know what you think about their products. They constantly request feedback from consumers. So, it is only fitting that you give yours. The incentives for your time and thoughts are usually definitely more than “pennies”. In fact, some companies may give you free items and coupons worth up to $1 off of their products. They present plenty of opportunities for saving. Cost-conscious people can take advantage and it’s completely free to do.

2. Get the most out of everything! Many cleaning products can be used in a more cost efficient way with a little ingenuity. For example, if you buy a sponge, cut it in half, and use one part for one task and the other part for another. It’s like getting two sponges for the price of one. Another way to save and get the most out of your cleaning supplies is to slightly reduce the concentration. Just by diluting the cleanser with a little water, you can get the same clean or shine, yet you will be effectively stretching your money in the process.

3. Always use coupons. Manufacturers put coupons for cleaning products everywhere. You can usually find them either on the product itself, in the Sunday newspaper, in store circulars, online, and in the supermarket aisles. Coupons can range in the actual saving that consumers can expect. They can be anywhere from a 10- or 15- cents discount to offers of free products! The best way to take advantage of the saving, cost cutting, and deals that coupons offer is to use them in stores that offer double or triple the manufacturer’s coupon value, and by using them during “buy one, get one” or clearance sales. By combining these deals, you can expect to pay just a few cents for some products and absolutely nothing for others!

4. Host a cleaning party. So often, people buy products that they either dont like or just havent used. Get a few friends together and have an exchange. A products smell may not suit your buddy, but it could be aromatherapy for you. Sometimes, people will have an abundance of things, for instance, cleaning cloths. A cleaning party is a great place to unload some of those extras and help others to save money along the way!

5. Remember that thrift stores are perfect for thrifty people. At the thrift store, you can expect to find tons of cleaning supplies for practically nothing. Everything from cleaning rags to mops and pails, you can buy for cheap at the thrift store. People usually donate the things that they no longer need, and so by buying it at the thrift store you get what you want for often up to 90% off or more!

From the most frugal fashionista to the regular penny pincher, people can appreciate any opportunity to save during this economy crisis…even when it’s the chance to save on cleaning supplies.
