Poulan Chainsaw

Having a chainsaw around the house can be very useful, as you can use it to cut a number of things with ease. However, it is not enough to just buy a chainsaw, you also have to take care of it and properly maintain it so that it will last you for years. Poulan, one of the many popular brands of chainsaw, is known for its durability and efficiency. Even if it is highly durable, there are still some parts that are bound to break because of frequent use. So it is important to know what kinds of Poulan chainsaw parts are the most essential for your chainsaw to last for a long time.

Poulan chainsaws can be very durable, if taken cared of properly. Therefore, it is essential to do maintenance checks every once in a while or you might end up having to replace those Poulan chainsaw parts frequently, and that can be very expensive in the long run.

One of the most important Poulan chainsaw parts is the chain catcher. It is important to check this part for any cracks, dents or any other damage to ensure your safety while using your chainsaw. If there are any damages, it has to be replaced at the soonest possible time. Do not attempt to use your chainsaw if this part is broken as even minor damages can lead to major accidents.

Another part that should be checked every so often is the chain brake. One of the most common accidents caused by using chainsaws is when this part is neglected. If it is broken or damaged in any way, it may lead to serious injury on the part of the user. So it is important to have this part replaced should it get damaged.

The flywheel is also an important part of your chainsaw, as this is the part that controls the speed of your chainsaw’s engine. It is primarily responsible for making the chainsaw blade turn. If this part is damaged, your chainsaw will not function at all. It is also important to rest your chainsaw after frequent use to prevent the engine from overheating. Poulan chainsaw parts have to be taken care of properly to ensure that your chainsaw lasts you for a long time.

Chainsaws are very useful and they can certainly make life easier, especially in cases where you have to cut through wood or metal. Chainsaws should be an investment, especially for those who frequently use them, and any investment should be well taken care of.

While it is relatively easy to buy Poulan chainsaw parts, it might cost you a lot of money, especially if you have to replace certain parts often. Even if they are not that expensive, it is still important to take care of your chainsaw, as frequent changing of the parts may end up costing you a lot of money. So don’t forget to check those parts every once in awhile to ensure that they are in the best condition and to prevent further damages and injuries.

Stihl Backpack Blower

Working on your lawn can be a tiring job especially during the autumn when leaves fall all over your yard. If you long to see the ground but have no time to rake it manually, it is best to invest in a Stihl backpack blower. The equipment allows you to do the cleaning hassle-free and in only a few minutes. The user wears the powerful machine on his back to allow greater mobility. Since it can be a little heavy, you need good shoulder and back strength to accommodate it. Before buying the machine, here are some of the tips you can use.

Comfort
The Stihl backpack blower weighs about 20 pounds. Before you buy it, make sure you have no back or spinal problems contraindicated to carrying the load. Try to put the machine on your back and feel the load before buying it. Think about your comfort while it is on your back. If you feel the weight is too heavy, find a lighter Stihl backpack blower.

Power of the Machine
Since you will be using the Stihl backpack blower for blowing leaves, take into account the power of the machine. Good models have a speed of 181 miles per hour. The power is good enough to make your yard cleaning easy. It can move even wet leaves slightly embedded in the ground as well as large volumes of grass cuttings. However, be careful not to point it too much to the ground as the small dust particles can cause irritation in the eyes.

Durability
A powerful machine will never be one if it does not offer durability. To ensure that your investment will last longer, check the motor of the Stihl backpack blower. Dual piston rings and a forged crankshaft add to the overall toughness of the equipment. Ask for the availability of service warranty in case you encounter any problems in the future.

Type
The Stihl backpack blower comes in two types; it can be gas-powered or electric powered. If you go for the gas powered one, get the type with a visible fuel tank to see when you need to refuel. Consider also the tank capacity. If it can accommodate one and a half liters of gas, the machine can last for hours without refueling. However, as a rule, the more gas you load, the heavier the tank becomes. If you want the electric powered one, check for the life of the battery. It is important that it can last for hours. Otherwise, you would need to recharge it in the middle of your yard work.

Easy to Use
Because the Stihl backpack blower can be a little heavy, it is important that your machine allows easy manipulation. Look at the different control buttons of the machine and if it allows you to control them with ease.

When buying a Stihl backpack blower, be sure to try the equipment in the store and experience the feeling of using it. Direct any questions to the sales agent. Only when you have all your queries answered should you make the final purchase.

I bet you didn’t know who invented that hand held circular saw you own. I would also be willing to bet that you don’t know how long that design has been around. If you own any Skil power tools then there is a good chance you own a good old number 77 portable circular saw. That design of the old 77 has been around for almost 80 years and is the original design of the saw from the day that Skil power tools invented it in 1928. The Skil company has a long and interesting history when it comes to its little place in power tool history and since its creation the Skil power tools line has become not only one of the most recognizable power tools on the market but there is a pretty good chance that if you are driving by a construction site that is using portable circular saws then you will find some Skil power tools at that site. They are a standard of the construction industry and they have been for decades.

Skil power tools were first crafted when the Skil company was opened as the Michel Electric Handsaw Company in 1924. In 1926 they changed the named of the company to the Skil Company and then the rest of history was just waiting to be written. In 1928 they released the E Model of the handheld circular saw that we now know as their model 77. The original die cast aluminum housing is still used and its superior engineering makes it stay on top as one of the best selling hand power tools in the industry. From the model 77 the rest of the Skil power tools started to take shape until today you have a full range of tools for any job and it doesn’t matter if you need a corded power tool or cordless because Skil has the Skil power tools you need for the job you are doing.

A Big Merger

In 1960 Skil took their show on the road and began offering Skil power tools all over the world and their quality and innovation was met with the same enthusiasm in Europe as it was here in the United States. They built a power tool factory in Europe and a small motor factory in Europe as well. Today the model 77 portable circular saw is as common in Germany as it is in the United States.

In 1992 the Skil Company was assumed by the Robert Bosch Corporation and became the S-B Power Tool Company which continues to offer the Skil power tools and continues to be a world leader in power tool technology and advancements in the power tool industry.

M&M Tool Announces Plans for Annual Power Tool and Machinery Show

Thursday the ninth and Friday the tenth of September 2010, M&M Tool and Machinery invites all crafters, contractors, do-it-yourself-ers, and other power tool and woodworking enthusiasts to join them at their annual power tool and machinery show. Attracting craftsmen with up-close and in-depth equipment demonstrations, personal time with representatives from favorite power tool and machinery manufacturers, “seriously good discounts,” and free hotdogs and soda-pop, crafters and Cordless Drill users from near and far strap on their boots, skip breakfast, and head straight for M&M Tool.

For over seventy years M&M Tool and Machinery has taken extraordinary measures to support the woodworking community, and for over seventy years they have hosted an annual power tool and a woodworking machinery show and sale. At their showroom in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah, with the lure of big bargains, intense power tools, and the always beautiful Miss Makita, hundreds of crafters flock to M&M each year to enjoy the power tooling community and to both thriftily and thoroughly restock their tool boxes. With the help of factory representatives from every industrial manufacturer like Dewalt, Porter-Cable, Delta, Makita, Bosch, Festool, Hitachi, Powermatic and many more, M&M’s tool show is, as M&M Tool’s Mallory would say, “the best kind of carnival for every kind of craftsmen.” Whether a woodworker or contractor by trade or a weekend warrior by choice, M&M’s tool show offers something to everyone. With demonstrations of the latest woodworking equipment and the most innovative power tools, the show offers valuable and new information, and a good-old-fashioned lunch, to every degree of crafter. Products slated for demonstration this year include Kreg Pocket-Hole Machines, the Festool 1400 EQ Router, the Festool KS 120 Kapex Miter Saw, Makita LS1216L Dual Slide Compound Miter Saw, and Delta’s 50-786 Dust Collector, 18-900L Laser Drill Press, 22-590 Planer, 40-690 Scroll Saw, among many others.

“It’s a really special day for us over here at M&M, the show is something we plan for and anticipate all year long,” says Steve, The Man, at M&M Tool. With said tool and machinery demonstrations, substantial discounts, free prizes, free lunch, and autographs from the lovely Miss Makita, the tool show has a tendency to take on a life of its own, and, as M&M Tool veteran Mike claims, “the September tool show is looked forward to by all our local and loyal crafters; not only is our showroom full of power tools and factory reps, it’s also full of other woodworking and power tool aficionados who come to M&M to share and define their expertise.” Some patrons say they come for Miss Makita, others for the free t-shirts and etc, but the overwhelming majority of attendees at M&M’s September tool show come for the unique and friendly atmosphere. The show is, as many claim, just “like a neighborhood barbeque.”

M&M Tool’s Josh reports that for the show”everything in the store is deeply discounted and most of the merchandise comes with free add-ons,” for example, “with the purchase of any cordless power tool combo kit, like Makita’s LCT200W Lithium Ion Drill-Driver and Impact Driver Combo Kit or DCX5200 Cordless Hammer-Drill and Circular Saw Combo Kit, you’ll receive a free battery.” Additionally, Josh adds, “with the purchase of one of our larger woodworking machines like a Powermatic 1791315 Planer or aDelta 36-981 Table Saw, we’ll also include a free mobile base.” “Whatever you need for your shop or garage, we’ve got it here,” Mike adds reminding that there is very little a good power tool can’t do and almost no power tool that can’t be found at M&M.

Ultimately, the M&M Tool and Machinery power tool and machinery show is expected to be a success, is expected to go off without a hitch, and anticipates to please many a craftsman. As it has for decades, M&M’s tool show intends to bring together an unique community in the spirit of really great power tools and innovative responses to an ever-growing, ever-changing power tool and woodworking industry.

We offers a wide selection of replacement MAKITA power tool batteries that are compatible with specific MAKITA power tool models.

Modern Power Tools – the Lithium Ion Cordless Drill

Power tools are essential for those jobs, which require more intense workmanship that ordinary tools cannot handle. A power tool is basically a tool, which is powered by an electric motor or alternatively a compressed air motor or petrol driven motor. They are typically used in the construction industry but are also used around the house to complete those otherwise hard to do jobs. Power tools are used for cutting, drilling, shaping, grinding, painting, sanding and polishing. Machine tools are a form of power tools used in metal work. It is not uncommon for the same power tool to be used both in wood and metal work.

The first used power tool was the lathe. Power tools were initially developed during the time of the industrial revolution. When factories began to use power tools to drive belts from overhead shafts. The main power source was a water wheel or later a steam engine. These tools were stationary until the introduction of the electric motor in the 1880s, which made the self powered stationary and portable tools we know today possible. The electric motor has remained the preferred source by which stationary power tools are driven. These tools use a cord but what has become increasingly popular for portable power tools is the battery. However batteries still have limitations because of they run out and lack sustaining power. Cost of buying and maintaining the use of batteries keep the cordless versions in lower demand on the market. Nailers and paint sprayers more frequently use air pressure, while chain saws, weed eaters and lawn motors have a preference for petrol driven motors.

One of the most popular power tools is the cordless drill, which is a type of electric drill but instead of being connected to a wall socket uses rechargeable batteries. Typically cordless drills come in the hammer drill configuration and mostly have a clutch setting, which allows them to be used for driving screws. In order to continue working without much interruption the tradesman will have a number of spare battery packs charging while drilling, so that he or she can quickly swap them.

The earliest cordless drills used 7.2V battery packs but over the years the battery voltage has increased to 18V and more, thus allowing these tools to produce as much torque as those drills connected to a main power supply. The main disadvantage of most current cordless drills is the use of nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries, which develop a “memory effect” or internal short circuits due to dendrite growth. This severely limits their usefulness and life span and in turn creates a hazardous materials disposal problem. Drill manufacturers are now producing lithium ion batteries. Makita Electric Works and Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation are two such manufacturers producing lithium ion batteries. The main advantages are lack of memory effect and very short charging time. Lithium ion batteries can provide an hour of work per twenty minutes of charging instead of vice versa. These batteries also have a constant discharge rate meaning that the power output remains constant until the battery is depleted, something that nickel-cadmium batteries lacks. This constant discharge rate makes cordless drills much more versatile. Lithium-ion batteries also hold a charge for a significantly longer time than nickel-cadmium batteries, about 2 years if not used, vs. around 4 months for a nickel-cadmium battery.

A power tool, in principle, uses a motor that runs on electricity or compressed air. It may also use an engine running on gasoline. A power tool can be used in households, factories and for construction purposes.

Most power tools used today run on electric motors and are also known as electric power tools. Electric power tools are more effective and help you do work faster but you need to keep in mind the safety precautions while working with these tools.

A power tool can be of two types:

Stationery: These are quite heavy and big and cannot be easily moved from one place to another. They have an advantage over the portable tools that they are faster in terms of speed and more precise and accurate than the handheld counterparts. The disadvantages obviously are the space being used by them and the expense that goes into buying and maintaining these power tools. Many times, people prefer hiring these tools rather than buying them.

Portable: A portable power tool is usually a handheld device and can be easily carried from one place to another. The cost-effectiveness, easy maintenance and small shelf space requirement have made a portable power tool more popular over the stationery ones.

Power tools include:

Wall chaser: A power tool used to cut out a thin groove in the wall.

Sander: A power tool used like a sand paper to smoothen the rough edges of wood.

Nail gun: A tool used in place of hammer to insert nails in wood or in wall.

Table saw: An electric power tool, which is stationary and is used to cut wood into even pieces.

Diamond tool: A power tool, which contains segments of diamond to cut different materials.

It is very important to check for branded and quality products when you are buying electric power tools as you may risk your life by not doing so. It is also important to use an electric power tool intelligently in order to protect its motor.

A power tool helps you to finish your task quickly, effectively and easily.

Important Poulan Chainsaw Parts

A chainsaw is a mechanical saw that is used in cutting trees, felling, pruning, and several other purposes. Since it is powered by electricity or gasoline, it is more powerful than a regular saw. Poulan has long established itself as a trusted brand in chainsaws. It is perhaps best known for its durability and functionality. Poulan chainsaw parts are each designed carefully to give the user optimum performance. While each of these parts are very durable, it is still very important to have each part checked and undergo maintenance to keep them at their top performance.

There are many different parts of a chainsaw and each is vital to help the chainsaw function properly. Some of the most important Poulan chainsaw parts include:

•	Engine. The chainsaw’s engine is perhaps one of the most important parts as it is the one responsible for powering the chainsaw. Without it, your chainsaw would be useless as there is nothing to power it with. Poulan chainsaws are powered with a two-stroke gasoline internal combustion engine. It is important to keep in mind the kind of engine your chainsaw has, just in case you have to replace it.
•	The guide bar is the part of the chainsaw that is characterized by an elongated bar which is usually made of steel that makes it wear-resistant. It is usually about 16 to 36 inches long, with slot guides.
•	The cutting chain is one of the most important Poulan chainsaw parts that always have to be maintained to make sure that your chainsaw works properly. Small sharp blades, each made of chromium plate steel, characterize the cutting chain. This is what gives your chainsaw the necessary power to cut through wood or steel.
•	A chainsaw also contains a drive mechanism, which usually comes in the form of a clutch. This is what activates the chainsaw during cutting.

Poulan chainsaw parts have to be lubricated every now and them, preferably after a long period of not being used. While the fuel that powers the chainsaw also serves as a lubricant, another type of lubricant has to be applied to ensure that the chainsaw works properly. You can use either a chain oil or a bar oil for external lubrication of the bar and the chain. The chain oil needs to be changed frequently because it wears out quickly, especially if it is used frequently.

It is important to take note of these parts and their uses so that you can have them replaced should you need to. If you take care of your Poulan chainsaw parts properly, your chainsaw can last you for years without breaking. This is why it is important to have them checked, and that you lubricate the parts that need it the most. You also have to keep the chains sharp or your chainsaw might not be able to perform properly. You can sharpen the chain yourself or take it to a shop and have it sharpened. With the right usage and maintenance, you can get the best performance from your Poulan chainsaw that you cannot get with any other saw.

Poulan Chainsaw Parts

A chainsaw is probably one of the most expensive tools you can ever have inside your toolbox. It probably is the most dangerous, too. However, if you know the proper usage of your chainsaw as well as its proper maintenance, then you should have no safety issues with it. Poulan chainsaws can last a long time, as they are known for their durability. Though it is inevitable for some Poulan chainsaw parts to break and need replacement, it is easy to get parts if you know where to look for them.

If you plan to buy Poulan chainsaw parts for you chainsaw, you have to consider where you are getting them. You can get some of the parts from a hardware store, but it might take some time for you to get them, as they may have to order them first. This can take several days to several weeks; and if you really need the parts right away, it can be such a big hassle waiting for them to arrive. Below are some tips on how to find chainsaw parts for your Poulan chainsaw:

•	Look for a local dealer. A dealer of Poulan chainsaw parts should have everything you need to keep your chainsaw running at its top performance. From fuel filters to spark plugs, a Poulan dealer should have all the parts you need in their store. It would be convenient to find a dealer so that you have somewhere to go to every time you need parts for your chainsaw.
•	You can also look in nearby shops that sell secondhand mechanical parts. They might have what you need, though it can be a problem getting the parts secondhand, as you don’t know if they are still in good condition.
•	You can also look for Poulan chainsaw parts online. If you really can’t find any of the parts around town, your best bet is to look online and order it from there. Though this may take several days since it has to be shipped to your location, it is still more convenient and hassle-free. There are a lot of reliable online dealers of chainsaw parts; you just have to look carefully.
•	If you chainsaw is still under warranty, it is highly advisable to contact Poulan and have it fixed there. If they have a service centre in your area, then take it there. Do not postpone having it fixed so that the warranty covers the repairs.

When looking for Poulan chainsaw parts, you have to look for a reputable dealer. It would also help if you know the different parts of your chainsaw so that you don’t get ripped off when you have it fixed. If you can do it on your own, it is advisable to attach the part yourself, especially if you can’t find a local dealer in your area. However, if you are having it attached by someone else, make sure to be around when they do so to ensure that they are doing their job properly.

Power Tools: Finding the Best

There are many manufacturers of power tools, some will tell you that Bosch is the best while others will tell you to get a Dewalt power tool. The most important aspect when looking at power tools is to make sure it can do the job without breaking down. Power tools can be expensive; most times they are a couple of hundred dollars depending on the power tool. Most mitre saws are at least 0 if not around 0 for the top of the line. Below is some important information about manufacturers of power tools.

First the most industrial power tools on the market tend to come from Kraftsman, which is a Sears brand. These power tools seem to hold up against time as well as the work. The next in line would be Bosch. Depending on the power tools you may even find that Bosch is better. Bosch is another manufacturer that has been around for years and knows how to make a tool that will last as well as have power for the job.

Makita and Dewalt while good power tool manufacturers are certainly not the best. They tend to breakdown before you get a good number of years from them. Dewalt power tools especially their mitre box can last up to fifteen years. Makita power tools are more for around the house. They don’t tend to handle the every day work on a construction site. In other words you get what you pay for. Makita tends to be less expensive than most manufacturers, which can be a good thing if you are looking for a tool to finish an at home project.

When purchasing power tools you need to look at a few things. Consider what you will use it for, how much you will use it, and compare prices between brands.

Are aftermarket Makita Batteries Compatible to My Makita Charger?

Aftermarket power tool batteries were designed to work with your Makita battery charger. Most aftermarket power tool batteries are made with the same battery cells used in the original Makita units. Aftermarket batteries are designed to original manufacturer’s specifications, and will meet or exceed original Makita power tools batteries and not void manufacturer’s warranty.

How to maximize the performance of your Makita power tools battery?

Understanding your Makita
Prolong the battery life by fully charging and then fully discharging it at least once every two to three weeks. Exceptions to the rule are Li-Ion batteries which do not suffer from the memory effect.
Keep the contacts of your Makita Drill Battery as clean as possible. Cleaning contacts will assure a good charge.
Do not leave the battery in a discharged state for long periods of time. We recommend using the battery at least once every two to three weeks. .
If you don’t plan on using your Makita battery for a month or more, take it out of the power tool, store it in a cool place away from heat.

MAKITA Power Tool Battery Tips

Cordless power tools have revolutionized the way homeowners and professionals work with power tools. The first cordless drill was introduced in the 1960s. Since that time, they have become more powerful, and the batteries last much longer.

MAKITA power tool battery is one of them.

Here are some MAKITA power tool battery tips:

Reset a MAKITA Battery:

Press the battery pack removal button, located on the back of the power tool’s handle, to release the battery pack from the MAKITA power tool.

Slide the battery pack along the rail track, on the bottom of the power tool, to remove the pack.

Place the battery pack into the battery pack charger with the metal contact side matching the metal contacts in the charger.

Let the battery pack charge for eight hours. Your MAKITA battery pack is now reset.

Recharge a MAKITA power tool battery:

If a downside to cordless drills exists, it is managing battery power and recharging to prevent interruptions during the project. Make it a point to know the battery type and its characteristics being used with the drill. Doing so helps improve battery management and will ultimately extend its life.

Plug the battery charger directly into the outlet. Avoid using extension cords to reduce the effects of voltage drop. MAKITA power tool battery chargers use transformers and solid-state components for charging batteries. Supplying less than adequate voltage to the charger has the potential to cause overheating and damage to the charger and battery.

Remove the MAKITA power tool battery from the drill and wipe any debris from the exposed terminals before inserting it in the charger. Line up the battery with the charger and slide it in all the way. A red or green power light will come on when the MAKITA power tool battery is in the charger. Different cordless tool manufacturers build chargers specifically for their batteries. For this reason, most MAKITA power tool batteries will only fit into chargers provided by the same company.

Charge MAKITA power tool battery when temperatures are between freezing and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep the charger clean and the vents free of debris. Allow the battery to stay on charge until the charger indicator shows the charge to be complete. Because different tool manufactures use a different sequence of colored indicator lights on their chargers, check the tools operating manual for the meaning of each light. Today’s chargers often have a legend stuck to the charger showing what each light means and how to tell when the charge is complete.

Storage a MAKITA power tool battery:

If you don’t plan on using the MAKITA power tool battery for a month or more, we recommend storing it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects. NiCad, NiMH and Li-Ion batteries will self-discharge during storage.

Extend a MAKITA power tool battery Life?

Do you feel better when you are in a controlled environment? Your MAKITA power tool battery do too. Remove this MAKITA power tool battery from the power equipment. You should store the power tool in the climate controlled area also. They perform better at room temperature.

Place the plastic protective cap on this MAKITA power tool battery for safety reasons. If left uncapped you could receive a shock or they could cause a fire if the terminals contact a metal surface.

Place this MAKITA power tool battery in a environmentally controlled area (example a closet). Batteries will last in most situations twice as long as leaving them in a cool, hot, cold or damp garage or vehicle.

Charge this MAKITA power tool battery about once every 45 days, just to keep it fresh in case you need to use them and you know you will ( example Christmas lights, gifts etc.).

High quality and low price MAKITA batteries.

Sharp Edge: One Man’s Quest To Improve Saw Safety
Every year, more than 3,000 people around the U.S. cut off their fingers or thumbs in table saw accidents, according to federal data. One entrepreneur created a device called SawStop that prevents such injuries. But mainstream tool companies have been slow to adopt the technology.

Makita began building its reputation for quality over 85 years ago, when the company started manufacturing electric motors. Since the first electric power tool was produced by Makita in 1958, users have come to rely on the craftsmanship of these tools as well as the brand’s excellent customer service. Makita owes its reputation for building outstanding quality power.

Today Makita is one of the world’s largest power tool manufacturers with seven manufacturing facilities globally and a selection of over 350 superior, innovative tools. The tools are still engineered to Makita’s exacting standards, in Makita’s own factories.

Makita tools come only in a distinctive teal color, making them easily recognized although this is easily imitated by manufactures who wish to benefit from their reputation as a manufacturer of quality tools.

With tools such as the MXT Cordless Drill, you get an all-metal transmission, one-touch drill-to-driver mode, and precision balance in a lightweight yet heavy-duty body. MXT is the next generation in drilling power and control; high speeds of up to 1,700rpm can be achieved within seconds. In addition to their popular drills, they manufacture a host of power tools that can all be run by the same rechargeable battery.

Makita power tools have the longest lasting and most efficient motors of any power tool on the market. With their dual ball bearings, Makita power tools create less friction, which reduces wear on the motor. Makita tools also contain a high-performance fan, which reduces the working temperature of the tool, increasing its life span. All Makita tools represent good honest value-for-money especially when you consider the amount of Equipment you get that comes as standard (often it’s as good as a free angle grinder or impact driver) with most tools at no extra charge.

All Makita tools are built to the highest standards of quality and innovation, but when that tool breaks down everything is not lost. Being able to change your Makita brushes, you can keep the motor operating at optimum efficiency.

Makita’s top end heavy duty cordless series are mostly based around the new Li-ion type of batteries. Lithium-Ion Battery technology brings power to cordless machines like never seen before. Lithium-ion cordless tools provide more power with less weight.

Whether you need a circular saw or an impact driver, a wrench or a flashlight, Makita offers a full line of cordless products.

Stihl Backpack Blowers

If you own a large yard or are in the yard cleaning business, a leaf blower is one of the important investments you should make. The equipment makes your work easier and provides professional cleaning each time you use it. For a novice in the business of yard cleaning, finding the right equipment can be a cumbersome task. However, based on the reviews of satisfied customers, the Stihl backpack blower is the best in the market. Here are the features that make it stand out from the rest.

Provides enough Comfort
Even if the Stihl backpack blower weighs an average of 20 pounds per equipment, it still feels comfortable due to the ergonomic design of the item. The backpack build is necessary to reduce the overall weight. Instead of carrying it with your hands, which can lead to straining, you keep it at your back where bigger muscle groups can take the load. You can even reduce the pressure by just unloading the equipment from your back when you feel the need to do so.

Powerful Models
Unlike other brands of blowers, the Stihl backpack blower offers a powerful motor that frees your yard from stubborn dirt. With the efficient air speed of the blower, you can easily remove dry and wet leaves with just one blow. The machine is also ideal for cleaning up grass cuttings. Whether you get the gas or electric type, the Stihl backpack blower lasts for a long time. The machine is energy efficient as it makes proficient use of the battery or gas.

Good Indicator System
If you get the electric Stihl backpack blower, the machine has an indicator system to signal you every time there is a need to recharge it. The warning helps you to prepare prior to the battery draining. Once you see the indicator signals recharging, you can simply take a rest and wait until the battery gets full again. If you have the gas powered one, the visible tanks allow you to see through the contents of the container and refuel it once it runs out of gas.

Minimal Noise
Although the backpack blowers are noisier than the hand held types, you can now find better models that minimize the overall noise of the equipment. With less sound, you can protect your ears and avoid disturbing your neighbors with it. In case you have the old models, just be sure to put on an ear protector to reduce the amount of sound entering your ears.

Affordable
The prices of the Stihl backpack blower range from $300 to $450. The price is reasonable when compared with the benefits and durability of the equipment. With this one-time investment, you can use the equipment longer. If you practice proper care and routine maintenance, you even double or triple the total life span of the Stihl backpack blower.

If you want professional cleaning for your lawn, you should only invest in professional machines. The Stihl backpack blower works well to satisfy your needs.

Things To Take Into Consideration When Comparing Power Tools

With the market being saturated with various brands of power tools, it can be a really tough decision to choose the right ones. Here are some basic areas of comparison that you need to take into consideration. They will also help you get the best deals on the power tools you do decide to purchase.

Of course, the purchase price is something we are all going to look at. It doesn’t matter how great of a power tool is, if it is too much for the budget then it can’t even be considered. Most power tools are reasonably priced but you are going to run across some heavy duty, top of the line power tools that have a price tag to reflect it.

Keep in mind the cost is more than just the purchase price. Take the cost of essentials into consideration as well. Depending on the type of power tool, these essentials can be sandpaper, belts, blades, bits, or a number of other items. Optional accessories are also something to consider.

What features are you looking for in a particular power tool? Don’t get caught up in all the features that one has to offer. You may end up paying a great deal more for a power tool that has features you don’t intend to ever us. Take a good look at those features though because you may find a few you could really use that you didn’t think of. That will definitely make a particular model more appealing to you.

Since most power tools are designed to last a very long time, you want to find out about the availability of replacement parts. You also want to find out about customer support. It can be over the phone, by mail, or on the internet. It is important that customer support is available to you in the event you have questions, comments, or complaints about your power tool purchase. Manufacturers who have been in business for a very long time are likely to still be there down the road when you need a replacement part for your power tool.

The quality of a power tool is very important. A good way to compare the quality of a particular type of power tool is to check reviews online from other consumers. These reviews are free to look at and very unbiased. You can also check with magazines that do comparisons such as Consumer Reports. However, you will probably have to pay for a subscription to get this information. Their monthly magazine has features for a variety of products. You can search their archives online to find articles and reviews about power tools.

It is a good idea to purchase a particular model and brand of power tool only after you have physically looked at it and touched it. It is too heavy? Does it seem to flimsy for the job you plan to do with it? How noisy is it? Does it fit properly in your hands? These things are all very important and will affect how compatible the power tool is for you.

Safety should be a top priority on your list when it comes to selecting power tools. What is their safety rating? How many accidents have occurred with a particular model of hand tool? What safety features does the power tool offer you? All power tools on the market have basic safety mechanisms in place, but keep in mind that some only offer the bare minimum as regulated while others go the extra mile to ensure their customers are safe while operating them.

Sometimes walking into a store of power tools is like taking a child into a candy store. However, to get the most from the power tools you purchase, follow these guidelines. Don’t be blind sided by the brand name or the design of a particular power tool. Take the time to find out exactly what it has to offer you.

Power tools make it possible to do many tasks quickly and efficiently. As the name suggests, they use power or electricity to function and thus aren’t manual. It reduces the time taken for a task which is most of the times subject to manual intervention and errors. Power Tools are designed to work for you and make your job easier. When used properly, they help minimize errors and maximize safety. Some of the common Power tools used are Circular Saw, Grinding Wheel, Polisher, Circular Saw Blade, Hammer Drill and many more

.

As they use electricity and have fast-moving parts, exercising caution while using them is essential. To keep safe with power tools, you have to be aware of two major factors: the action of the tools and what powers them. Here are some tips that help you use Power Tools efficiently and effectively.

· Always follow the manufacturers’ instructions when using power tool. Yes, we ask you to read them.

· Keep all tools well maintained, always making sure that they are disconnected before working on them. Blades should be kept sharp.

· Choose the right tool for the job. Examine each tool including power cords and pneumatic hoses. Do not use if it is damaged. Be sure to tag it “Don’t Use,” as a reminder to yourself and others.

· Test first before applying. Every time you power up a tool like a drill, saw or nut wrench you’ll generate torque. Make sure that you are well balanced with a good grip before using it as intended. When you are done with a tool, disconnect it, never carrying it by the cord or hose.

· Protect you eyes, lungs and extremities. Always wear personal protective gear like head mask or goggles.

· Electric tools present unique hazards, the single biggest one being that electricity always wants to make a path to ground. It could be you. Power tools should always have a grounded three-wire cord. Never plug a three-prong cord into a two-prong receptacle.

· Short Circuits are common when you use anything that works on electricity. Wear gloves and boots for an additional layer of insulation. Don’t use electrical power tools on wet shrubs or grass. When done with your tools, store them in a clean dry place.

With these precautions, you are pretty safe to use Power Tools. Remember, precaution is better than cure!

About the Author:

Every time you turn on any of your power tools you run the risk of catastrophic harm to your body. This sobering fact is always close to mind in the best woodworkers and other power tool using trades people, and it’s part of what keeps them safe. Furthermore, the safest people in the power tool using community know and follow the seven rules of power tool safety outlined for you below.

This article is not intended to replace the importance of reading the safety instructions in the manual that comes with every power tool… Be careful and be safe.

1) You Are The Most Dangerous Power Tool

Power tool users debate at great length about which is actually the most dangerous power tool. There’s widespread agreement however that the number one most dangerous power tool is the operator himself, as there are very few cases of any power tools leaping out to attack randomly. Remember that every time you turn on a power tool it’s you who are responsible for having the same number of fingers when you turn it off. This may seem like an obvious statement but it’s the arrogant, cocky and negligent power tool users who end up forgetting this cardinal truth.

2) All Tools are Equally Dangerous, but Some are More Frequently Harmful

Every tool in your tool box can be dangerous to you if you forget the cardinal rule, but some are definitely more frequent causes of trips to the emergency room. You should exercise caution especially when you pick up that box cutter of yours to break down some boxes. Also, the table saw is widely considered one of the most frequent manglers of fingers, as is the radial arm saw, the shaper and the chain saw.

3) Keep Your Tools Sharp, True, Clean and Running Smooth

Tool maintenance is another key factor in power tool safety. You should study the manual that comes with all of your power tools to learn how and how often you should be sharpening, aligning and cleaning your tool. And always be on the look out for changes in its operating function – listen for funny noises or any jiggles that may develop. These are signs that you need to spend some time getting your manual out and make some adjustments. A calendar in your shop that you can mark with tool maintenance times is a good idea too.

4) Keep Your Work Space Tidy, Well Lit and Distraction Free

Whether you’re working in your basement shop or a job site it’s vital that you keep it clean, well lit and free from distractions. The cleanliness and tidiness means that you won’t be tripping over any bits and pieces that you’ve left around. Get into the habit of cleaning up after yourself as you work and you’ll be well along your way to preventing any major problems with work-site accidents. Strong lighting too is vital to any power tool operation as the lighting is what keeps your fingers away from the blade and shows you exactly where blades are at all times. Get as many watts as possible on your next job and you’ll keep yourself out of the emergency room. Finally, make sure that there’s no music on that could distract you, or cell phones or anything else that pulls your attention away from where it needs to be.

5) Purchase or Make the Appropriate Safety Accessories

Woodworkers have their push sticks, feather boards and push blocks to make sure that they keep their cuts as true as possible while keeping their fingers away from the blade. Many power tools have common safety accessories and it’s up to you to make sure that you’ve learned as much as you can about each one and that you use it effectively to protect yourself from catastrophic injury.

6) Keep a First Aid Kit Handy

In addition to the normal stuff like bandages and peroxide you’re going to want to keep a couple of extra items handy that have a grizzly importance. Keep a plastic garbage bag handy for transporting any severed limbs with you to the hospital. Further, a hand mirror is vital for checking on your face in the case of a ****** injury. Have these items available and hope that you never have to use them.

7) Always Trust Your Instincts

Most power tool operators report a little twinge of conscience right before they get hurt on a power tool. A little voice or feeling that says “hm… this isn’t safe.” If you get that feeling then stop what ever you’re doing right away. Further, it’s often when people try old jobs in new ways – that they just make up on the spot without thinking through – that they get hurt too. So pay attention to that little voice inside of you and you’ll be much more likely to stay safe!

Remember – it’s up to you to keep yourself safe when using power tools. Always read the manuals and remember the seven rules of power tool safety!

About the Author:

Power tools are very expensive and when said and done all the tools can add up to a big expense. So when buying a power tool you want to not only make sure you are getting the most for your dollar, but you also want to make sure you are buying the right power tool. You don’t want to buy a tool that is pure overkill on power or even worst, underpowered. That’s why when you buy a power tool you want to look at the important aspects of the tools and sometimes this can be confusing. One important questions to ask yourself is, “What kind of user am I ?” Once you find this out choosing the right brand is a lot easier. After you decided what kind of user you are you need to look at some important aspects such as corded vs. cordless, amps and horsepower, return policies and more.

Kind of User

A power tool is an extension of your hands, like Edward Scissor Hands. If you have the right tool and a quality tool, you can create or fix just about anything. One important questions you need to ask yourself is, “What kind of user am I ?” If you are a light homeowner user, you can get away with a less expensive brand such as Black and Decker. A light homeowner user probably will not put a lot of use and abuse on the tools and power is not a big deal. Remember more power usually means more weight in the tool. Black and Decker designs their tools for the light homeowner use. They are quality built and inexpensive.

If you are not a light home owner use, but aren’t a serious user, Craftsman makes an exceptional tool. Craftsman actually has other companies make these tools for them, you can see their manufactures through the source code. Craftsman makes a good quality tool that has a lot of features and good power. Plus they have a great return policy if something happens or you are dissatisfied with the tool.

If you are a serious home user or contractor, go with a good brand name such as Milwaukee, Dewalt, Bosch, Porter Cable or Makita. These manufactures pride themselves on making the best tool. They are constantly putting money into their research and development process to make these tools even better. These professional power tools cost more, but they are made with better technology and materials. They also have a better design that causes less fatigue on the user. Not to mention that these tools are made to last a life time.

Quality Tool

The tools mentioned above are good quality tools. I would suggest staying with one of the manufactures above for a couple different reasons, but the main reason is efficiency. These power tools will last you a lifetime. They are designed by companies who have been in the business for along time and they understand power tools. They understand quality, safety and what makes a good tool. These are more efficient meaning they can actually transfer more power from the input or batter to the output. This means less work for the user and less frustration. If you would like to learn more about the difference between cheap power tools and professional power tools, please see this article.

Corded Vs. Cordless

Corded power tools tend to have a little more power, while the cordless has the versatility. At least this is the case now. Milwaukee just came out with a new battery technology that might change everything. Cordless power tools are becoming more and more common as they are increasing their power, while lowering their overall weight of the tool. I would suggest going with a cordless tool because of versatility. The only reason to go with a corded tool is if you will be using the tool for long periods of time or the tool you are looking for has a substantial more power capability in the corded version.

Return policy

Power tools are expensive and I don’t care how carefully any company watches for defect, they will always get one or two pass them by. You never know what will happen. These companies do a very good job and have very low returns on their products, but as a consumer you always want to be prepared. I would suggest going with a store who has an exceptional return policy, such as Amazon. They have been voted year after year as one of the most return friendly stores around. Amazon is also a good place to go because they have user ratings from real people who have used the tools. Just make sure you know your return policy from what ever store you buy from.

About the Author:

Chances are, most of you have at least one or two power tools around your home. They are great for both small and large projects and make many tasks much easier due to their power and portability. However, a power tool without power is really no tool at all and will be of little use to anyone. Yet many power tool batteries lose their power due to improper care and the somewhat costliness of replacement power tool batteries causes a lot of power tools to lie dormant. That being said, here are some useful tips for keeping your power tool batteries in the best possible condition to ensure that you’re not left scratching your head next time you need to use your power tool.

First off, most power tool batteries are made up of several smaller cells packed inside the battery casing. These cells are predominantly NiCD, meaning that the same rules for all NiCD batteries apply here as well. These batteries have a tendency to develop a memory effect. In order to ensure that your power tool battery doesn’t lose a significant amount of its runtime, it is important to practice smart charging behavior. Power tool batteries should be power cycled (fully discharged and fully charged) at least once every few weeks to guard against the memory effect.

Have you ever stored a car or lawnmower for the winter and tried to start it a few months later only to find that the battery is dead? The same will happen to a power tool battery if not properly maintained. This is probably the number one killer of power tool batteries today, especially for those that only use their tools for odd and end jobs every now and then. If the battery is not taken from storage and charged/discharged occasionally, it will certainly fail to function when you need it. When you do store power tool batteries, make sure to store them in a dry, cool, clean place away from metal and heat. Never store power tool batteries on the charger, as this will overcharge the battery and also diminish its runtime.

Many people use power tools in some pretty rough places, such as construction sites, mechanic shops, and landscaping areas. This means that power tool batteries often become dirty and should be cleaned to keep them working correctly. To ensure that dirt doesn’t interfere with the battery connections and cause the tool not to function normally, clean the battery contacts with some alcohol and cotton swabs.

If you do have a power tool battery that no longer takes a full charge or simply will not function at all, it may be time to consider having the battery rebuilt. The rebuilding process involves opening the battery casing and replacing the smaller individual cells inside with new rechargeable cells. This process often costs much less than the price of a new battery and most batteries can even be improved by using higher capacity cells which allow the battery to last longer in between charges.

About the Author:

If you are one of the do-it-yourself kinds who prefer fixing your garden fences or anchoring paintings on the fine four walls of your living room or installing a place for a new kitchen gadget yourself, welcome abroad!

Indeed, there is really no dearth of electric power tools. Just picking up the right choice for minor repairs and projects in the house saves considerable time and money. Drill and Driver are amazing to make a hole and anchor a wall. Circular Saw works wonder with round blades for ripping apart any surface. Jigsaw eases you for slitting spiky curves, while Impact Wrench relieves you by stiffening and loosening nuts and bolts. Hammers are adored and there are a plenty of types in the hammer section to make things easier, when some repair is going on at home. Having a screwdriver saves a lot of time. You can also have a tape measure to execute all do-it-yourself jobs.

A big MNC, Hitachi is a renowned power tool manufacturer and presents a wide range of Hitachi power tools to help people across the globe. Hitachi power tools come in the market only after going through a three dimensional computer aided design and stringent quality control.

Power tools online is also a wonderful means to get the best deal without moving out of the house. Get significant discount on power tools when buying power tools online and enjoy exhaustive variety too!

The Hitachi Power tools may also be checked out online for exhaustive variety and relevant descriptions. Purchasing Hitachi Power tools online has its specific advantage as well. You can get the high quality of Hitachi power tools and avail significant discount on these power tools as well.

Hitachi power tools are powered by electricity and can be corded or cordless. There is an electric motor in these electric power tools. Stationery and portable are two the types of electric Hitachi power tools. The former tends to be massive and heavy, while the latter just looks opposite.

Don’t ever think of moving the stationary tools from one place to another. It might be a futile attempt in the end! But the portable cordless power tools come handy in this aspect and occupy much lesser space, besides being cost-effective and trouble-free. Utility Knife, Pliers & Wrenches, Power Drill, Circular Saw, Stud Finder etc are some other important variety amongst the electric power tools category that one may consider to have at home.

About the Author:

How To Buy A Power Tool

One important questions you need to ask yourself is, “What kind of user am I ?”

If you are a light homeowner user, you can get away with a less expensive brand such as Black and Decker.
