Power Tool Battery Reconditioning that Increases The Lifespan Of Your Batteries

Power tools are essential to most people, since they're essential for DIY and other work related projects. Any handyman isn't handy without his tools. But what if it's battery doesn't work anymore? First, turn on the tool and let operate until the it dies out or discharges. Now, once it dies, take out the battery and plug it into a charger. Turn it on again and wait till it completely discharges the second time around. Do not over-discharge the batteries, since that may cause some strain - so keep the discharging process up to only two times per month.

After each monthly reconditioning, you should notice the batteries improve in life span. However, if the battery does not improve or even continues to deteriorate, then it might be high time to start buying a replacement.

This method of reconditioning power tools is pretty easy, and you can simply do this by yourself at home. There are also other methods of reconditioning NiCad batteries, and you might want to try them, too. Of course, you should take time to inspect the batteries before reconditioning them to see if they will still do. Broken or cracked batteries are as good as dead, so you might as well throw them out and buy a new one.
